The author of this book covers some of the main technology things that teens do these days. Some of the things the author covers are the teens do blogging, twittering and using social network sites. The author also examines how these things affect the writing skills of teens.

This a report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project that gives statistics of teenagers who use slang in their writing. They found out that teens don’t connect that e-mailing and instant messaging is writing.

I really like how the author discusses the negative effects on kids. The main negative effects she discusses are no social interaction, inactivity, obesity and no imagination.
